Jeju airport restaurants are the places you end up at on your first afternoon or your last morning on the island, when you have a rental car to return or a flight to catch and no time for a long drive. Most of them sit in New Jeju (Sin-Jeju), the Yeon-dong and Nohyeong neighborhoods just south of Jeju International Airport, plus a few spots along the coast near Iho Tewoo Beach. In short, these Jeju airport restaurants are about convenience as much as flavor. This guide covers seven of them, from a gimbap shop that opens at 7 a.m. to a wine-and-dining room for a final dinner.
The picks below are adapted from visits by Revitguide reviewer 호미식 (Homisik), who rated each 3.5 out of 5. Think of them as solid, convenient choices near the airport rather than destination restaurants.
Why Eat Near the Airport in New Jeju
New Jeju is the modern side of Jeju City, with hotels, the Jeju Provincial Office and Nohyeong’s shopping streets. Visitor posts describe cafes like Bote as roughly a 10-minute drive from the airport, and Ingrid as about 10 minutes away near Iho Tewoo Beach, so these places fit easily before a flight. As a result, most Jeju airport restaurants in this list are clustered in Nohyeong and Yeon-dong. However, parking in Nohyeong’s residential streets can be tight, so several of the places below point you to nearby public lots.
If you have more time in town, our Dongmun Market Jeju guide covers the old town on the other side of the airport.

Jeju Airport Restaurants for a Quick Meal
Gasi-eomeong Gimbap (가시어멍김밥), Nohyeong
I ordered the Gasi-eomeong tot gimbap. I think it is hard for gimbap to leave a strong “this is delicious” impression, because it is so familiar. This one surprised me from the first bite. The best part was the texture of the filling: there is a lot inside, yet nothing feels separate, and it all chews very softly. The crunchy bits of tot (hijiki seaweed) add some fun along the way.
There is more filling than rice, but the balance holds and the ingredients come together naturally. It made me think, “this place really knows gimbap.” If you are touring Jeju’s well-known gimbap shops, it is worth adding to the list.

Nangppuri Sikdang (낭뿌리식당), Nohyeong
This is the kind of find that makes hunting for food in Jeju fun. There are hardly any reviews online, yet at lunchtime the room was already full of office workers from the neighborhood. It felt like a true local restaurant.
I ordered galchi jorim (braised hairtail). The best part was that you can order it as a single portion. Most places serve galchi jorim for two or more, so solo travelers often give up on it. The sauce looks very red. It reminded me of the galchi jorim at Daegeum Sikdang, though it does not hit as hard from the first bite. It is gentler and easier to eat, and for a one-person galchi jorim meal, I was satisfied.

Kang Myeong-seon Shabu Shabu (강명선샤브샤브), Yeon-dong
The pork shabu shabu uses good meat, so it turns tender after only a quick dip. Not having to cook it long brings out the charm of shabu shabu. Most customers are locals, so you can eat comfortably without the bustle of a tourist spot, and the staff were friendly the whole time. It is an easy place to enjoy shabu shabu in Jeju.

Cafes and Bakeries near Jeju Airport
Ingrid (인그리드), near Iho Tewoo Beach
I did not expect much from the matcha at Ingrid. I went mostly for the space, but the matcha turned out to be quite good. First the color caught my eye. Then, tasting it and looking at the cup and the plate it came on, I felt they put real care into this one drink.
It does not push the bitterness and aroma of matcha hard. It leans a little more toward sweetness so it is easy to drink, so if you only like strong, bitter matcha, it may taste a bit sweet. Even so, the matcha still came through. It leans toward a crowd-pleasing style, but I would still call it a tasty matcha.

Bote (보테), Nohyeong
I had Bote’s signature Latina. Before you even walk in, the building stands out: ivy covers the whole facade, so it feels like a green space in the middle of the city. The Latina is described as a small latte made with milk concentrated by freeze distillation.
It really does have a different texture and density from a regular cafe latte. The nutty taste of the milk is much more concentrated, and its heavy yet smooth texture goes well with the coffee. The serving is small, which I liked: it is a rich drink to sip slowly. The espresso is not buried, either, and the two stay in balance to the last sip. If you want a latte in Nohyeong, try the Latina instead of a plain one.

A la papa (아라파파), Yeon-dong
A la papa is often named as one of Jeju’s three big bakeries, and its Yeon-dong branch is close to the airport, so I stopped by as my last stop of the trip. I arrived a little after 5 p.m. The moment I walked in, I understood why people come early: the shelves were almost empty. The mochi bread and Chilgok bread were gone, and most cakes and popular items had sold out.
From what was left, I picked a salt ang-butter roll. It was fine, more ordinary than I hoped, and it did not show me why A la papa is called one of Jeju’s signature bakeries. The real draw is probably the signature items, such as the mochi bread, Chilgok bread and Udo peanut milk jam. The branch also has a public parking lot right in front, which makes it handy before or after a trip. Next time I will come earlier.

Jeju Airport Restaurants for Dinner: MAT
MAT (엠에이티), Nohyeong
MAT stands for “Mood and Taste.” Just as “Mood” comes before “Taste” in the name, the space sets the mood from the moment you walk in: calm lighting, a tidy room and well-chosen furniture. If you are looking for a date spot in Jeju, it seems like a safe bet.

I ordered the duck croquette with parsley pesto mayonnaise, mushrooms and octopus roasted in herb butter, and fresh pasta with Jeju pork, tomato, fennel seed and pecorino. The croquette had a good contrast: lightly crisp outside and surprisingly soft inside, with a duck flavor that did not feel heavy.
The best dish of the night was the mushrooms and octopus. The seasoning was very bold and fully salty, yet I kept reaching for more. A green herb sauce sat underneath, and dipping into it made the flavors sharper. The cooking was excellent: the octopus was tender but springy, and the mushrooms and vegetables kept their moisture.

The pasta felt more relaxed than the first two dishes and did not stay with me as much, although the soft zucchini inside lightened it nicely. Overall, MAT is not a place where mood outruns the food. The cooking and sauces show real skill, and I would order the mushrooms and octopus again.
